Doing Online Business is just few clicks away due to Cloud. Then You wonder why can't i protect it the same way. Well you do not get the fresh instant coffee ! . Do you ? . Same here, Cloud provides convenience so you can't expect that to be secured by default. Well then how much security attention is not overkill for your business. That's the first thing comes to your mind , right!

Well , Straight answer to this question is cyber security strategy . Take a Pause and find out what is so important to your business rather than just jump to action like everyone else.  So take deep breath and spend sometime doing just that.  Now that drums rolled enough , let us get to the point!

Mile 1: Crown Jewels

Hope you remember about the Jewel thief game wherein you were trying to protect your jewels. Important thing here is what these jewel made of , is that bronze? silver ? gold? or Diamond. Why is this important?

Well the effort you would exert to protect diamond is not the same if its just silver.  Now just apply this to your business , can you classify your business systems, processes and data into these categories. Always try to keep the classification types to minimum to effectively manage. Three is the best according to industry standard for .e.g. Bronze, Silver and Gold. Unless you have strong reason why you need more do not go beyond 3 but obviously you need at the least 2 types are required.
